Scoop up the bargains before Christmas Past in New Hope is just a memory

christmas past new hope charlie sahner As the ubiquitous hand-made signage around town suggests, New Hope retail stalwart Christmas Past is closing its doors, and offering 40% off everything in the store.

The best part is that the store is still jam-packed with Christmas-themed merchandise, and will be open until 5 p.m. on Dec. 24, and even for a short time after the holiday. A visit on Sunday revealed a crowded store and brisk sales.

Owner Pete Madden says he and partner Paul Panebianco are retiring, and their only plans right now are to “just enjoy it.”

The retail shop was located on South Main Street for many years before moving to 16 W. Bridge St. in April 2014.

Christmas Past can be reached at (215) 862-0501, and is open most days from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
