New Hope firefighters respond to report of fire at New Street home

New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company responded Wednesday morning to the report of a fire at 35 New St. in New Hope.

Smoke emerging from the roof line was plainly visible, although its source was not apparent.

The 8:43 a.m. alert also drew a response from Lambertville, Point Pleasant, and Upper Makefield fire companies, along with local EMS, who quickly evacuated an uninjured disabled resident from the structure.

Fire officials could not immediately determine the cause of the incident.
