The lights on the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge will be illuminated pink Friday and Saturday nights to remember music icon Dolly Parton.
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced the memorial display on its website.

The tribute comes after Parton, 80, died Tuesday in Nashville. Parton made a major impact on culture and became one of the nation’s most recognizable figures through her songwriting, distinct vocals, style, and sense of humor.
Along with the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge, the commission plans to switch on the pink lighting at the Lower Trenton Toll-Supported Bridge, famous for its “Trenton Makes The World Takes” sign; the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge; and the Northampton Street Toll-Supported Bridge.
On Thursday evening, crews set the bridge’s light system to purple to recognize International Overdose Awareness Day.

The energy-efficient LED lighting array on the New Hope-Lambertville bridge was added in 2024 as part of a broader rehabilitation project.
