Morrisville man indicted for posession of heroin in Lambertville

new hope free press lambertville nj policeThe office of Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III announced Friday that Steven I. Reichenberg, 29, of Morrisville has been indicted for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the third degree.

Reichenberg was originally arrested in Lambertville, NJ for possessing heroin on July 22. Lambertville police said Ptl. Sharon Polyak located Reichenberg passed out in his vehicle on Route 29 at 1:30 a.m. that day. Reichenberg was reportedly determined to be under the influence of narcotics and was found to be in possession of heroin, police say.

He was charged with Possession of CDS and being Under the Influence of CDS, and lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail, according to the Lambertville Police Department.

Today’s indictment alleges that Reichenberg did “knowingly or purposely possess a controlled dangerous substance, specifically, heroin, a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance, contrary to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1).”
