Passing of Peggy Ott of New Hope

Peggy McGuire Ott, 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 27,  at Allegria of Oaks Care Center in Bensalem.

Born and raised in Lambertville, Peggy moved to New Hope in 1962. She graduated from Trenton State College with a degree in elementary education, and for many years taught third grade at the Titusville Elementary School. She was selected Teacher of the Year 1960-1961. Peggy was an active member of the New Hope Eagle Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Daughter of the late James McGuire and Mary Rhodes McGuire, and widow of Dale Ott, Peggy was one of six children. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Hosbach and her husband Rich, and two granddaughters, Kyle and Nicole Hosbach.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N Franklin St., in Lambertville.  Burial will follow in the Thompson Memorial Cemetery in New Hope.  Calling hours will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
