Children’s author Artie Bennett to appear at Farley’s Bookshop in New Hope

Acclaimed children’s book author Artie Bennett will signing copies of his popular picture books on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Farley’s Bookshop in New Hope.

With beloved classics like “The Butt Book,” “Poopendous!,” and “Belches, Burps, and Farts– Oh My!,” Bennett has been hailed as “the Dr. Seuss of your caboose.” Non-toches related works include “Peter Panda Melts Down!,” and “The Universe’s Greatest Dinosaur Jokes and Pre-Hysteric Puns.”

Bennett is the executive copy editor for a children’s book publisher, and writes a little on the side. His first major work, “The Butt Book,” won the prestigious Reuben Award for Book Illustration, and a string of scatological hits followed.

His next work, “The Universe’s Greatest School Jokes and Rip-Roaring Riddles,” will publish in 2019. He currently resides “deep in the bowels of Brooklyn,” where he spends his spare time “moving the car to satisfy the rigorous demands of alternate-side-of-the-street parking.”

Bennett appears Sunday, Oct. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Farley’s Bookshop, 44 S. Main St., in New Hope.
