WEEKEND: The New Hope Auto Show returns

The New Hope Automobile Show returns to the grounds of New Hope-Solebury High School on Sunday.

Presented by The New Hope-Solebury Community Association, this year’s show honors the TVR, a unique British-made sports car. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with awards presented to first-, second-, and third-place winners in over 50 categories. At 2:30 p.m., winners participate in a “parade of champions.”

Proceeds provide funds for scholarships to New Hope-Solebury High School seniors, as well as to the cancer research of Fox Chase Cancer Center. The show also supports other charitable organizations, including NHS Baseball Club, Solebury Lions, Solebury Soccer Club, and Scout Troops 52 and 41, with many of these groups providing volunteers for the show.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate: $10.00 general admission; $5 for senior citizens. Active duty military, active duty National Guard, and active duty Reserve personnel and their dependents attend for free (ID required). Children age 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult, and parking is free.

And don’t forget about the Vintage & Classic Road Rally at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Participation is open to anyone longing to take their vintage vehicle on the open road for a non-timed adventure.

To register a vehicle for the Saturday Vintage Road Rally or Sunday show, call (215) 862-5665 or visit the auto show website.
