UPDATED: 8:22 p.m., Thursday:
Due to unexpectedly high water levels and unsafe river conditions, organizers have announced the cancellation of Friday night’s planned fireworks display over the Delaware River. However, the drone show is still scheduled.
To enhance the experience of the drone light show, organizers are encouraging attendees to actively participate by bringing Bluetooth speakers and downloading the Pyrocast app. By entering the show code F683, spectators can synchronize their music and help create a unified soundtrack across both towns during the aerial display.

Original Story:
New Hope Borough will kick off its summer season with a fireworks and drone show on Friday, May 16. The event will coincide with the town’s Pride celebrations.
The display is part of the New Hope Summer Series, which will feature monthly fireworks and drone shows paired with a First Friday block party from May through September.
Tens of thousands of people attended last year’s fireworks and drone show, and this year the event expands to include a synchronized drone light show for the entire season, according to organizers.
The fireworks and drone shows are scheduled for Friday, June 6; Friday, July 11; Friday, August 1; and Friday, September 5.
Each event will feature a family-friendly block party on Stockton Avenue (between Bridge and Ferry streets) from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the street closing to vehicle traffic at 2 p.m.
The block parties will include local artists and crafters, live art demonstrations by New Hope Arts, live music, and food vendors, like Italian Cucina.
The Friday evening event will feature vendors including Kona Ice, Malina Crafts, Freitag Art, Kitty Couture, Wandering Wildflowers, Glitter Magic by Tiffany, and Energy Revealed, with more to be announced throughout the summer.
The fireworks and drone show on Friday is scheduled to begin around 9:10 p.m.
Start times for future shows will be announced closer to each event but are typically between 9 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.
All festivities are free and open to the public.
“This year’s New Hope Summer Series, Fireworks and Drone Show is all about creating an immersive and memorable experience for locals and visitors alike,” said Michael Sklar, president of the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce. He noted the program’s impact on local businesses and tourism.
Those who watch the show can step up their experience by downloading the Pyrocast app (code: F683) to sync with the official fireworks and drone show soundtrack via Bluetooth speakers, organizers said.
This weekend also marks the big Pride celebration.
The annual Pride Parade is set for Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. It will start in the City of Lambertville and march into New Hope Borough.
