Get ready for a celebration of love, unity, and pride this weekend!
New Hope Celebrates is hosting its annual Pride Parade and Festival Friday through Sunday, with a packed schedule of events under the theme “Together, We Rise! – Defying Fear, Embracing Hope.”
Here’s what you need to know to make the most of the weekend:
The annual Pride Parade will kick off at 11 a.m. in the City of Lambertville and march across the bridge into New Hope Borough. The parade starts at Lambertville City Hall, goes down Union Street to Bridge Street, crosses the free bridge, and goes along Main Street in New Hope Borough.
This year’s parade will be led by grand marshals Josh Sanders and Jim Donovan, both from CBS News Philadelphia. Sanders, a journalist and LGBTQ+ advocate, and Donovan, a multi-Emmy Award-winning anchor, will be filming in New Hope for an upcoming CBS Pride special, “The Heart of Pride,” which is commemorating the 10th anniversary of marriage equality in America.
Grammy-nominated R&B icon Deborah Cox, who is known for her chart-topping hits like “Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here,” will headline PrideFest Live! The open-air concert will take place within the Pride Fair at Pride Park at New Street and South Main Street in the American Legion Parking Lot in New Hope Borough. The event will run from noon until 5 p.m.

New Hope Celebrates has crowned its new pageant winners: Miss New Hope Celebrates Asia Leigh Monroe, a Philadelphia-based drag queen and trans advocate, and Mr. New Hope Celebrates Ricky Suave, a Latin drag king from Puerto Rico. Catch them throughout the weekend’s festivities.
