Lambertville and West Amwell Police Reports: Auto Theft, Burglary, Door Lock Glued

Case # 17002834

Edgar Martinez-Castro, 24, of Lambertville, was arrested on Saturday, April 1, at 9 a.m. for an active warrant.

While on patrol, Ptl. Cooper observed Martinez-Castro’s vehicle traveling in the area of State Highway 29. A random plate inquiry on the vehicle revealed the registered owner to have an active ATS warrant out of Greenbrook for $500. Ptl. Cooper stopped Martinez-Castro in the area of Route 29 and police headquarters, and he was found to be the registered owner. Martinez-Castro was placed under arrest and processed for the warrant. He posted bail and was later released with instructions to obtain a new court date.

Case # 17002861

A blue and silver Giant bicycle was reported stolen on Sunday, April 2, at approximately 12:36 a.m.

This agency is currently investigating the theft of a blue and silver Giant bicycle reported as stolen from the area of 1 Feeder St.  Anyone with information about the bicycle’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Lambertville Police at (609) 397-3132.

Case # 17002874

A red Honda Fit was reported stolen on Sunday, April 2, at approximately 9:04 a.m.

This agency is currently investigating the theft of a red Honda Fit with New Jersey registration “A58AJX” from 82 Coryell St. The vehicle was reported as stolen overnight out of the garage. This investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information as to the vehicle’s location is encouraged to contact Lambertville PD at (609) 397-3132.

Case # 17002897

Clarence Woodland, Jr., of Trenton, was arrested on Sunday, April 2, for an active warrant.

At approximately 11:34 p.m., Lambertville PD was contacted by the Trenton Police Department advising they had Woodland Jr. in custody for an active $940 ATS warrant from Lambertville. Ptl. Wurpel took custody of Woodland Jr., who was unable to post bail. Woodland Jr. was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail where he was lodged in default.

Case # 17002914

Lambertville Police are investigating a lost or stolen license plate from the rear of a vehicle. A resident on Delevan Street reported that on Monday April 3, she noticed her rear license plate missing. The plate is a New Jersey tag bearing “L13ENS.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Lambertville PD.

Case # 17002939

Lambertville Police are investigating criminal mischief that occurred to a floor resident at Heritage Village sometime in the overnight hours between Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4. The resident reported that her door lock cylinder and key hole were filled with Super Glue. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Lambertville Police.

Case # 17003048

Lambertville Police are investigating a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash that occurred on North Franklin Street near Route 179 on Saturday April 8, at around 1:30 a.m. The striking vehicle is suspected to be an older model Jeep, possibly a 2001 Cherokee, with extensive front-end damage. Any witnesses or those with additional information are asked to contact Lambertville Police.

West Amwell Police

On March 17, at approximately 5:24 p.m., Sergeant Edward Skillman stopped a vehicle on Rout e179 in the area of MM4 for a motor vehicle violation. A computer check for the driver, Daman Andreacchio (a 40-year-old male from Havertown, Pa.), showed two traffic warrants. The first warrant was from Atlantic City for $750, and the second was from Camden for $180. After processing, Andreacchio was released with a court date.

On March 22, at approximately 11:16 p.m., Sergeant Edward Skillman was dispatched to meet with Hopewell Township Police in the area of the Mercer County Work House regarding an incident that occurred in West Amwell. After speaking with the individual involved, Miquis Smith (a 30-year-old male from Trenton), it was discovered that Smith had an outstanding warrant from Trenton for $2,500. After processing, Smith was released with a court date.

On  March 25, at approximately 5:51 p.m., Sergeant Edward Skillman stopped a vehicle on Route 31 in the area of Route 579 for a motor vehicle violation. A computer check for the driver, William Deptula II (a 30-year-old male from Yardville, N.J. ), showed an outstanding warrant from Allentown, N.J., for $240. After processing, Deptula was released with a court date.

On March 26, at approximately 2:28 a.m., Sergeant Edward Skillman stopped a vehicle on Route 202 in the area of Wertsville Road for a traffic violation. As Sergeant Skillman spoke with the driver, Jennifer Hubbard (a 35-year-old female from Clinton, N.J.), he observed the odor of alcohol. Hubbard was arrested for DWI, and issued several summonses. After processing, Hubbard was released with a court date.

On March 26, Corporal Jonathan Sellner received an alert from dispatch to look for a vehicle involved in a possible burglary in Bucks County. After checking the area, he located the vehicle on Hancock Street and observed items in the bed area that were described in the alert.

After a joint investigation with Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police, Corporal Sellner arrested Ronald Dale (a 47-year-old male from Lambertville), Jessica Lane (a 34-year-old female from Lambertville), and Shanna Hackney (a 38-year-old female from Lambertville) for Receiving Stolen Property. After processing, they were released with a court date. On March 28, at approximately 2:41 p.m., Patrolman Joseph Cesare checked on a pedestrian on Route 202 in the area of Route 179. After speaking with the pedestrian, Timothy Sorber (a 48-year-old male from Elizabeth, N.J.), a computer check showed two outstanding warrants from Old Bridge and Elizabeth. After processing, Sorber was released with a court date.

On March 29, at approximately 5 p.m., Sergeant Edward Skillman stopped a vehicle on Old York Road for a motor vehicle violation. A computer check for the driver, Terrance Oloughlin, Jr. (a 26-year-old male from Bloomsbury N.J.), showed an outstanding warrant for $172 from Branchburg N.J. After processing, Oloughlin was released with a court date.

On March 29, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Patrolman Cory Flemming stopped a vehicle on Rout e31 in the are  of Route 518 for a motor vehicle violation. As he spoke with the driver, Kyler Rodriguez (a 19-year-old male from Flemington, N.J.), Patrolman Flemming observed the odor of marijuana. After an investigation, Rodriguez was arrested for Possession of Under 50 grams of Marijuana. After processing, Rodriguez was released with a court date.

On March 30, at approximately 1:17 p.m., Corporal Jonathan Sellner went to a residence in West Amwell Township to locate Rebecca Schaefer (a 29-year-old female from Lambertville) for two outstanding warrants. The first warrant was from Trenton for $500, and the second was from Branchburg, N.J., for $500. After processing, Schaefer was released with a court date.

On April 2, at approximately 2:48 p.m., Patrolman Joseph Cesare stopped a vehicle on Old York Road for a motor vehicle violation. As he spoke with the driver, Ryan Mccotter (a 22-year-old male from Highland Lakes, N.J.), Patrolman Cesare observed the odor of marijuana. After an investigation, Mccotter was arrested for Possession of Under 50 grams of Marijuana. After processing, he was released with a court date.

On April 4, at approximately 2:19 p.m., Sergeant Timothy Vanselous stopped a vehicle on Rout e579 near Route 31 for a motor vehicle violation. A computer check for the driver, Dwayne Danridge (a 25-year-old male from Philadelphia), showed an outstanding warrant from Camden, N.J., for $500. After processing, Danridge was released with a court date.
