The Lambertville Historical Society is inviting recommendations for homes to be included in its Autumn House Tour.

“If you would like to recommend a home for the 2016 Tour (including your own), please leave a message at (609) 397-0770, send an email, or snail mail your suggestion to LHS, P.O. Box 2, Lambertville, N.J., 08530,” say organizers, who also say they need volunteers to help with the tour.

This year’s tour will take place on Sunday, Oct. 16, and has previously drawn crowds approaching one thousand.

As a bonus, homeowners who participate in the Lambertville Historical Society’s Autumn House Tour will receive “a lovely gift.”

The Historical Society is headquartered in and maintains the James Marshall House Museum at 60 Bridge St., which is open Saturdays and Sundays through October from 1 to 4 p.m. (admission is free). A guided walking tour of Lambertville is available on the first Sunday of the month through October, leaving the Marshall House at 2 pm (also free, but donations are appreciated).

The Lambertville Historical Society promotes, inspires and encourages the preservation and appreciation of Lambertville’s architecture and history through education, community involvement, and preserving and maintaining the James Marshall Museum.
