In Brief: Stockton Avenue Bridge in New Hope closed beginning Monday; police issue Halloween restrictions

Construction sign at Stockton Avenue bridgeThe Stockton Avenue Bridge over the Aquetong Creek in New Hope will be closed for repairs beginning Oct. 19.

PennDOT anticipates that work on the bridge will take 45 days. New Hope Borough issued a map (below) which appears illegible.

In other news, the New Hope Police Department issued a set of edicts pertaining to the orderly celebration of Halloween 2015:

Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, will be ‘Trick Or Treat’ night in the Borough. Participants are asked to limit their activities to between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m.

“To help ensure a safe environment for all concerned, participants should be accompanied by an adult, wear clothing easily seen at night, and use sidewalks where possible.

“Police will have additional officers on duty during the noted time. Any questions can be directed to New Hope Police at 215-862-3033.”
