Hundreds of motorcycles taking part in the Ninth Annual Ride for Heroes roared through New Hope’s Main Street at noon Saturday, as onlookers lining the street cheered them on. Police temporarily closed Main Street to accommodate the procession.

The Ride for Heroes is a charity motorcycle run that raises money for the Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund. The fund helps pay for the educational needs of the children of police officers and firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty.

The inaugural Ride for Heroes was in 2007, with the participation of approximately 131 riders and a handful of passengers, and has grown exponentially since then.
