New Hope police blotter: alleged DUI, underage drinking, missing mezuzah

July 11, 2015 –  At 2:17 p.m., police cited Gordon Silfies, 56, of Hatfield, for Disorderly Conduct after he created a disturbance on South Main Street.

July 13, 2015 –  At 11:38 p.m., police arrested Tomas Shaw, 54, of Turnersville, N.J., for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, after the vehicle he was operating struck a utility pole on West Bridge Street.

July 14, 2015 –  At 1:15 p.m., an employee of a North Main Street establishment reported to police that someone had removed a mezuzah, valued at $56, from within the store at some time on July 11.

July 16, 2015 –  At 12:32 p.m., the owner of a South Main Street store reported to police that someone had removed a flag brace, valued at $60, from the ground in front of the building at some time during the overnight hours.

July 19, 2015 –  At 12:49 a.m., police cited Jonathan Berne, 20, of New Hope, and Dylan LLoyd, 20, of Iowa City, Iowa, for Underage Drinking, and James Roemer, 20, of New Hope, for Carrying a False Identification Card with the intent to use it to obtain alcoholic beverages, as a result of an incident which occurred at a South Main Street establishment.

July 25, 2015 –  At 11:24 a.m., an employee of an East Bridge Street establishment reported to police that someone had removed two planters, valued at $100, from in front of the store.
