The City of Lambertville has been named a finalist in the Parade’s America’s Favorite Small Towns competition, marking the latest in a series of national honors for the riverside community.

The annual contest, which highlights local character and community pride, places Lambertville among a select group of finalists nationwide.

The city was recognized for its vibrant atmosphere and its reputation as a destination in the Northeast.

The nomination adds to a list of recent accolades for the city. Lambertville was previously named one of HGTV’s 50 Most Charming Small Towns in America and ranked among USA Today’s 10 Best Small Towns in the Northeast. Additionally, the local library was a finalist for the National Medal for Museum and Library Service.

Hunterdon County Commissioner Director John E. Lanza, a former resident of the city, praised the announcement.

“It is wonderful to see Lambertville recognized on a national stage,” Lanza said. “Having lived there, I know firsthand how much this city offers. From its historic streets and riverfront views to its thriving arts scene and locally owned shops, Lambertville has a unique energy that draws people in and makes them feel at home.”

Local officials noted that the recognition highlights the city’s small businesses, including the galleries, boutiques, and cafés that serve as the community’s core.

The community named America’s Favorite Small Town will receive an official digital badge, national media exposure, and featured promotion across Parade’s print and digital platforms.

Regional winners are scheduled to be announced June 1, followed by the reveal of the national winner on June 12.
