The chance of winter weather and extreme cold forecasted for this coming weekend has prompted organizers to postpone the Lambertville New Hope Winter Festival Chili Cook-Off.

The festivities were scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1, but the charity event has now been moved to March 1.

The cook-off will take place on its new date from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Triumph Brewing Company in New Hope Borough.

According to event organizers, the decision to reschedule was made to ensure the safety of attendees, volunteers, vendors, and competing teams.

“Moving the event to March 1 would allow for greater attendance and a more enjoyable experience for all involved,” organizers said in a statement.

The chili cook-off is a local tradition that raises funds for area food pantries and social service organizations.

Despite the date change, all other event details, including the roster of participating teams, ticketing information, and charitable beneficiaries, remain the same.

The Tom Rush concert and Winter Festival Dance Night remain on the schedule for this weekend. For more information on those events, visit the website.

The Winter Festival 2026 team encouraged community members to stay safe in the weather.
