The Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair is getting underway at the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds.
The fair, which begins Wednesday, Aug. 20, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 24, is held at 1207 Route 179 South County Park, just outside of the City of Lambertville.
Organizers have scheduled a variety of attractions, including magic shows, live music, art exhibitions, and animal displays. The event also features baking competitions, amusement rides, and a fireworks display set for Friday just after 9 p.m.
Admission to the fairgrounds is free. Parking is $15 per car, and ride tickets are sold separately.
The Hunterdon County fair carries on the tradition of the Flemington Fair, which operated from 1848 until it closed in 1999.
