May 6
Public Intoxication
At 1:35 a.m., officers located a highly intoxicated subject. The 23-year-old male from Three Bridges, New Jersey was transported to Doylestown Hospital for evaluation. He was cited with Public Intoxication.
Ordinance Violation
At 3:40 p.m., a 58-year-old male from Newtown Borough was cited for Animal Defecation on Public/Private Property Restricted and Disposal of Animal Feces after he he did not remove his horse’s feces from South Main Street.
May 14
Public Intoxication
At 7:26 p.m., officers responded to a restaurant on East Ferry Street and located a highly intoxicated 71-year-old woman. The subject was transported to Doylestown Hospital for evaluation. She was cited for Public Intoxication.
Fraud
At 7:26 p.m., officers investigated a reported fraud. A borough resident reported sending $2,000 to an e-mail scam claiming to be a famous actor. The victim was instructed to report the fraud to the credit bureaus. This investigation is ongoing.
May 15
Retail Theft
At 4:25 p.m., officers responded to a South Main Street retail establishment for a report of retail theft. An 18-year-old female from Levittown was charged with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property for stealing $144.94 worth of jewelry. An 18-year-old female from Fairless Hills was cited with Retail Theft for stealing $48.00 worth of jewelry.
May 19
Disorderly Conduct
At 11:24 p.m., officers investigated a reported fight at a bar on South Main Street. A 27-year-old homeless man was cited for Disorderly Conduct for engaging in fighting, violent or tumultuous behavior.
May 23
Stolen Vehicle
At 9:47 p.m., a subject reported to the New Hope Borough Police Department that his rental vehicle had been stolen from a business on North Main Street. On May 30, the stolen vehicle was recovered in Delaware by the New Castle Police Department. This investigation is ongoing.
May 27
Public Intoxication
At 12:06 p.m., officers were flagged down on South Main Street for an unconscious subject. The 59-year-old man from Rockway Park, New York was manifestly under the influence of alcohol and non-cooperative with officers. He was cited for Public Intoxication.
May 28
DUI
At 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to a traffic accident at Union Square with a possible drunk driver. The investigation led to the arrest of a 53-year-old City of Lambertville man. He was charged with DUI, Failure to Stop and Give Information, and Damage to unattended Vehicle of Property.
June 1
Criminal Trespassing
At 2:19 p.m.. officers were advised a business on North Sugan Road had a criminal trespass. occur. The business owner advised that on opening the business it was discovered that somebody had entered through an unlocked window. Evidence at the scene found dirty footprints on the windowsill and a chair. Nothing was taken or disturbed. Investigation to continue.
June 2
DUI
At 12:05 a.m., an officer on patrol observed a vehicle on West Bridge Street commit a vehicle violation. The vehicle was stopped, and a subsequent investigation found that the driver was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was transported to Doylestown Hospital for a blood draw. The driver refused to submit to a blood test. The case will proceed by summons for the Driving Under the Influence Charges. The driver was a 64-year-old New Hope Borough man.
