New Hope police say stay alert for towpath flasher

West Mechanic Street Bridge over the Delaware Canal.

New Hope police say there’s been a flasher on the towpath adjacent to the Delaware Canal near West Mechanic Street in New Hope, and advise the public to be vigilant when in the area.

The first incident of indecent exposure occurred on Oct. 20, 2018, at 10:45 p.m., and police believe another didn’t follow until some time in May of this year at around midnight.

A third incident occurred on a late evening in July or August of this year, and the latest indecent exposure occurred on Aug. 25 at around 10:30 p.m.

Police say the suspect is a white male with long hair and possibly a beard.

They ask anyone with information to contact Corporal Tremblay at (215) 862-3033.

  • Looking to spread your San Francisco values? With your “woke” SF morality, will New Hope streets soon be covered with homeless people, needles & excrement? This is the way it starts, turning a blind eye to depraved behavior or worse yet, accepting it as normal. What you call uptight, many of us call decent.

  • Or as we call it in San Francisco, a Wednesday. “Hello, I’d like to report a naked person” said nobody in SF ever. It’s more like “Ha, looks like somebody is enjoying the sun to the max” or “Did he really have to wear a cock-ring? LOL” or at worst “Hmmm, I’m feeling a little insecure about my own endowment”.

Seriously, why be so uptight, New Hope?
