New Hope Celebrates (NHC) has scheduled two October events to help commemorate National LGBTQ+ History Month, along with National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.

First up is the “Inside + Out” history-themed event on Oct. 11 that includes a special reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stella by Jose Garces at the Ghost Light Inn in New Hope.  The free event takes place at the Riverview Terrace located on the promenade level, and registration is required.

When visitors arrive at the exhibit, they will be able to open various doors that reveal display panels featuring people, places, events, and photos from the NHC archives.

“It’s an excellent way to discover and share New Hope’s LGBTQ+ and Allied experience and the events that shaped them,” according to NHC.

NHC’s history exhibit is a community-driven project funded with a grant from Visit Bucks County and donations from Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce, Niece Lumber, New Hope Remodeling and Impact Signs of New Hope.

NHC will also host a special LGBTQ+ Night Out featuring a live performance of the “Rocky Horror Show” with a pre-show cocktail reception at the Mansion Inn on Thursday, Oct. 24. Tickets for the event are available through New Hope Celebrate’s Facebook page or the official website.

New Hope Celebrates, Inc. (NHC) is a nonprofit organization established in 2003 that is focused on highlighting the history and cultural nuances of New Hope, Pa., while stimulating the retail, hospitality, and professional community.
