Suspect in March burglary of Solebury Township home arrested

Alexander F. Ramirez

Solebury Township Police nabbed a man last week suspected in the March burglary of a home on River Road.

Alexander F. Ramirez, 56, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody on Sept. 12 and charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Maggie Snow, then sent to Bucks County Jail after failing to post 10% of the $100,000 bail.

Solebury Township police initially investigated the daytime residential burglary of the home on River Road between Windy Bush and Aquetong roads on March 29. Evidence obtained from the crime scene showed that the burglar was operating an older model white Mercury Grand Marquis.

Surveillance footage of suspect vehicle.

“The combination of the video surveillance camera capturing the vehicle, plus the forensic evidence collected from scene, gave us a better chance of capturing the individual,” said Detective/Corporal Jonathan Koretzky of the Solebury Township Police Department, who made the arrest.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 28.
