Passing of George Dey, 74, of Lambertville, Flemington

George Dey - New Hope Free PressGeorge Dey, 74, of Lambertville, and recently of Flemington, passed away on Nov. 10.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen, daughter Christine Dey, son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Karen Dey, and granddaughter Charlotte; sisters Polly Cole, Elaine Yates, and brother and sister-in-law Larry and Florence Dey, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents Nelson and Helen Dey, and sister Mary Harned.

Dey retired from Hunterdon Central High School in 2004 after 27 years of service. He was into antique cars, enjoyed riding motorcycles in his youth, and was a member of the Hunterdon Fleahoppers skating club. He spent his retirement years camping and traveling.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St., in Lambertville. A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Church in Lambertville at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Lambertville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated.
