New Hope-Solebury High School senior awarded Spanish language scholarship

New Hope-Solebury High School senior Tobias Oliveira was awarded $800 in the 2016 Sociedad Hispana scholarship program.

Tobias competed against eight other high schools in the central Bucks area on April 21 at the County Theater in Doylestown.

Sociedad Hispana Doylestown is a non-profit organization dedicated to the study and appreciation of Iberian and Latin American culture, language, literature and the arts. The group fosters continuing interest among young people by offering scholarships to local students who are studying Spanish. It was founded in 2007 by Terry Hull, a former resident of New Hope.

New Hope-Solebury School District is a public education institution committed to providing students with the knowledge, skills, and habits they will need to function in a productive and fulfilling manner in their increasingly complex world.
