New Hope Police announce Sunday morning road closures due to 5K run

road closedThe New Hope Police Department has announced intermittent road closures in the borough will occur on Sunday, Sept. 20, to accommodate the 2015 Run Now, Wine Later 5K Run.

“Vehicle travel within the Borough will be impacted between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m on that date,” reads the department’s announcement.

“Specifically, West Bridge Street between Kiltie Drive and Main Street, South Main Street between Bridge Street and New Street, New Street, West Ferry Street, Stockton Avenue between West Ferry Street and West Mechanic Street, West Mechanic Street between New Street and Sugan Road, Stoney Hill Road between Sugan Road and West Mechanic Street, and Sugan Road between West Mechanic Street and Stoney Hill Road, will be intermittently closed to vehicle traffic between the noted hours.” (Got that?)

“In addition,” reads the statement, “East Ferry Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Persons wishing to travel within the affected areas should plan on delays during the noted hours.”
