Lambertville Police blotter: ’tis the season for DWIs

Lambertville City Police blotter (all subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law):

CASE #13904827:  On Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at 8:10 p.m., Ptl. Kenneth Housman was called to the parking lot of the Lambertville Station Inn for a dog left in a vehicle. The owner of the dog, Michael Singer, 33, of New Brunswick, N.J. was found to have a motor vehicle warrant from East Brunswick Municipal Court for $500. Singer posted bail and was released. The dog was unharmed and cared for by Singer’s wife.

CASE #13904837: On Wednesday Dec. 25, 2013 at 8:40 p.m., Raymond Romsdahl, age 45, of Lambertville, N.J. responded to police headquarters to report an incident. Romsdahl was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI by Ptl. Anthony Memolo. Romsdahl was released pending a court appearance.

CASE #13904890: On Saturday Dec. 28, 2013 at 1:09 p.m., Sgt. Robert Brown observed Blaise Gegeckas, 23, of New Hope fail to keep right on State Highway 29. Gegeckas was also observed speeding 70 mph in a 40 mph zone on that highway. Sgt. Brown located Gegeckas on South Main Street. Gegeckas had struck a parked vehicle belonging to Domicindo Ramirez–Cruz of South Main Street. Gegeckas was charged with DWI, reckless driving, and speeding. Gegeckas was also charged with obstructing the administration of law for failing to stop for Sgt. Brown after his emergency warnings lights were activated. Gegeckas was released pending a court appearance.
