New Hope Police respond to report of staggering man on West Mechanic Street

Three New Hope Police Department units responded to a report of an apparently intoxicated man staggering on West Mechanic Street at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday night after he had purportedly been booted from the Logan Inn bar.

After initially losing track of the man, who appeared to be white, tall and middle-aged, the police soon found him lying on the doorstep of a nearby house in the rain, which appeared to be his home. No arrest was made.

First to the scene was New Hope Police Officer Joshua Forrester, who located the individual in question, and was backed up by officers Joyner and Freas.
