Hot time in the old town last Saturday night

Temperatures stayed warm and steamy through Saturday evening, with a crowded downtown area and festive atmosphere prevailing. One individual was ejected from the Sandbar around 9:30 p.m. without incident. At 10 p.m. several outgoing, amiable men spreading the gospel appeared on South Main Street with a large placard reading “Are you going to heaven?” This reporter took the test in exchange for photo permission, and flunked. At 10:30 p.m. EMS was dispatched to South Main Street, then proceeded to the site of an apparent domestic incident under police escort. Sgt. John Goss of the New Hope Police Department ultimately took charge of the situation, and no individuals appeared to have been taken into custody at the scene.
