Now that New Hope Borough Council has approved the sale of the former borough hall property at 41 N. Main St. for about $950,000, rumors have been swirling around potential intentions the new owners may have for the building. The property is zoned for both residential and commercial use, and had been advertised as being a suitable for a restaurant, among other possibilities.
Sources familiar with the deal, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to confidentiality requirements, now say Delaware-based investor Hoi Polloi LLC will use the former fire house “largely for pharmaceutical marketing activity” as a “headquarters office”, while possibly sub-leasing a portion of the space to other tenants.
Finalization of the deal could take about a month.
