A woman incarcerated at the Bucks County Correctional Facility faces a felony contraband charge after authorities allegedly found cocaine in her clothing while she was housed in a special unit.
Christine Lampe, 42, formerly of Philadelphia, was charged with felony contraband and misdemeanor counts of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.

Lampe was housed in the Special Housing Unit at the Women’s Correctional Facility when another inmate assigned to monitor her approached a corrections officer at about 8:39 a.m. June 22, investigators alleged.
The monitoring inmate reported that Lampe came to her cell window and offered her a pill in exchange for candy, according to the affidavit.
A corrections sergeant responded to the unit, and officers conducted a search of Lampe. An officer allegedly found a clear plastic bag containing a blue item in the upper pocket of Lampe’s correctional jumper.

Officers also searched Lampe’s cell and allegedly recovered three empty plastic bags similar in size to the one found in her clothing. The materials were secured as evidence and placed in a facility investigative unit safe, the complaint states.
A Bucks County Department of Corrections investigator collected the evidence the following morning and delivered it to NMS Labs for testing.

A laboratory report received June 26 identified the blue material as cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance, according to the affidavit.
The charges were filed July 21 by Bucks County investigators. Lampe was arraigned July 28 before Magisterial District Judge TImothy Barton, who jailed Lampe on 10% of $25,000 cash bail, per court records.
A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 10 before Magisterial District Judge Mark D. Douple.

Lampe is awaiting formal arraignment in Bucks County Common Pleas Court on felony retail theft, misdemeanor receiving stolen property, and associated conspiracy charges from a Lower Southampton Township arrest, per court records.
She also has a second active case at the Common Pleas level, where in a pre-trail conference is scheduled in September on misdemeanor drug charges stemming from a Bensalem Township arrest.
