Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning after a pickup truck flipped onto its roof and struck a residential electrical box.
Midway Fire Company was alerted at 10:04 a.m. to a possible dwelling fire at the intersection of Carversville and Street roads on the border of Buckingham and Solebury townships.
A caller reported a pickup truck had overturned and landed on its roof, the Midway Fire Company said.
While the two people were able to exit the vehicle safely, the truck had struck an electrical box attached to a home and caused the unit to smoke, the fire company said.
Upon arrival, command units noted concerns regarding the exterior scene and downed electrical lines.
Firefighters were ordered to check for fire inside the home while crews worked to stabilize the exterior and remove the vehicle.
PECO crews arrived shortly after to address the electrical hazards.
Local fire police helped direct traffic around the scene.
Assisting Midway Fire Company at the scene were Point Pleasant Fire Company, Doylestown Fire Company, Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services, the Buckingham Township Police Department, and the Solebury Township Police Department.
