A wintry mix may complicate the Tuesday morning commute.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region.
The advisory is scheduled to take effect at 5 a.m. and remain in place until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters expect less than an inch of snow accumulation, but they warned that a light glaze of ice could coat surfaces across the area.
The National Weather Service said the main concern for residents will be slippery road conditions during the early morning travel hours.
The wintry precipitation will fully transition to rain by mid-morning Tuesday as temperatures rise.
Local school officials stated they are monitoring the weather to determine if the storm will impact Tuesday morning bus pickups.

Wednesday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 40. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
