The New Hope-Lambertville area is expected to find a light accumulation of snow by Monday morning as a weather system moves through the region.
The National Weather Service’s regional office reported that light snow is expected to begin Sunday night. Forecasters say the area could see totals ranging from a light dusting to 2 inches.
Meteorologists said that the precipitation, which may include a mix of rain and snow, is projected to arrive by 7 p.m. Sunday and should taper off by daybreak on Monday.
The incoming system comes after weekend of freezing temperatures, which has helped keep a steady covering of snow since mid-January.
While Sunday night’s system represents the only anticipated snowfall for the coming days, the forecast includes additional chances for rain toward the middle and end of the week.
For the coming week, daytime temperatures are expected to remain in the 40s.
