“Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show” is returning to the Bucks County Playhouse starting Friday in New Hope Borough.

The musical, which has become an annual event at the historic venue, will run through Nov. 2.

Actor, producer, and reality star Frankie Grande is set to return to the show, reprising the role that saw him break the playhouse’s box office records for the production in both 2023 and 2024.

Grande is a multihyphenate performer who has appeared on Broadway in “Mamma Mia!” and “Rock of Ages,” and on television in “Big Brother” and “Henry Danger.” He recently released his debut album, Hotel Rock Bottom.

“The Rocky Horror Show has been one of my favorite things to be a part of since we first came to the Playhouse 11 years ago,” said Producer Josh Fiedler. “As we prepare to step away from producing at the Playhouse, I’m thrilled to be a part of this show for one last time (warp). And, having Frankie Grande return in the role he was born to play is just icing on the cake!”

Producing Director Alexander Fraser added, “The Rocky Horror Show has been a Playhouse tradition for decades. We’re proud to present Hunter and Shannon’s gloriously gothic production… and it’s been a hit two years’ running. And Frankie’s performance is for the ages.”

The production features choreography by Shannon Lewis and direction by Playhouse Artistic Associate Hunter Foster, with Greg Santos as resident director.

The production will not be seen next year due to unavailable production rights for 2026.

Returning cast members include Jordan Bollwerk as Brad Majors, Natalie Welch as Janet Weiss, Tim Shea as Riff Raff, Alyssa Wray as Magenta and Stanley Martin as Eddie. Madeline Benoit as Columbia and Patrick Richwood as Dr. Scott/Narrator are joining them. The ensemble includes Mary Grace Humphries, Annie Gagen, and Hank Santos. Casting for the role of Rocky will be announced soon.

Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Fraser, and Producer Fiedler announced the casting.

“The Rocky Horror Show,” with book, music, and lyrics by Richard O’Brien, inspired the 1975 cult classic film.

The musical follows innocent couple Brad and Janet as they encounter transvestite scientist Dr. Frank ‘N’ Furter at a mysterious castle.

The production, which features an infectious rock n’ roll score, advises parental discretion due to the subject matter.

Performances are scheduled Tuesday through Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $75, with a limited number of $39 tickets available for each performance via an online lottery. For more, click here.

Patrons will be invited to dance the “Time Warp” with the cast on stage. No outside prop bags will be permitted.
