Solebury Police Welcome New Officers, Promotes Detective

The department has new hires.

The Solebury Township Police Department has welcomed two new officers and promoted another to detective.

Justin Broskey and Matthew Gaeta have joined the department as police officers, while Joshua Brooks has been promoted to detective.

Broskey, a native of Warrington Township, graduated from Central Bucks South High School and earned a degree in criminology from Penn State in 2018. He was a licensed EMT before attending the Montgomery County Police Academy, where he graduated in 2022. He is engaged to Krystina.

Broskey previously served with the Bridgeport Police Department, working in patrol and the Drug Task Force. He is certified in defensive tactics and impaired driving enforcement.

In 2022, Broskey was recognized with a Heroism Award for rescuing a woman and her dog from an apartment fire.

Gaeta, originally from Hunterdon County, graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School and earned a criminal justice degree from Stockton College in 2014. He is engaged to Heather.

The New Jersey-native previously worked as a public safety officer at Delaware Valley University and joined the Pennsylvania State Police at Media Barracks in 2021. Gaeta’s work in accident investigation and DUI enforcement led to more than 50 DUI arrests in a year, earning him the Top Gun Award.

Brooks started his law enforcement career with the Philadelphia Police Department in 2017 before joining the Solebury Township Police Department in 2023. Brooks holds certifications in narcotics and online predator investigations and serves on the Bucks County Drug Task Force. He is a community outreach officer for the department.

Brooks is married to Danielle and has five children: Joey, Justin, Aliyah, Mila and Carson.
