A multi-agency commercial vehicle enforcement detail on Route 202 in Solebury Township resulted in numerous citations and vehicles being placed out of service.
Officers from Solebury Township, Doylestown Township, Central Bucks Regional, New Britain Township, Quakertown Borough, Richland Township, and Buckingham Township police, along with Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, participated in the operation on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
According to a news release from the Solebury Township Police Department, the detail inspected 18 commercial vehicles. The inspections uncovered 79 violations, with 22 violations leading to out-of-service orders.
As a result, 10 vehicles and four drivers were placed out of service. Additionally, one vehicle was weighed and cited, and a total of 14 citations were issued, police said.
All inspection results were reported to the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, according to police.
