Police Log: Fight On Main Street, Disorderly Person & More

Recent police incidents in New Hope Borough.

August 4

Suspicious Vehicle

Officers on patrol located a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on West Mechanic Street. The matter was cleared following investigation.

Alarm Call

Officers responded to a hold-up alarm at Wawa. The activation was determined to be accidental.

Noise Complaint

A noise complaint was reported in the area of South Main Street and East Ferry Street.

August 5

Harassment

Officers responded to a harassment complaint on North Sugan Road.

Fraud

A report of fraud was received and documented.

Suspicious Person

Police responded to South Main Street for a report of a suspicious person attempting to gain entry into a closed business. The individuals were located and determined to be only looking through the windows.

August 7

Disorderly Person

New Hope Borough and Solebury Township police officers responded to The Greenhouse for a disorderly person reportedly in possession of a firearm. Investigation determined the firearm claim to be unfounded.

Fight

While on patrol, officers encountered a large group engaged in a fight on South Main Street. The group dispersed upon police arrival. One victim was located and transported to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.

August 8

Disturbance

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on North Main Street.

August 10

Crash

Police investigated a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Route 202 and Rabbit Run Drive.

Crash

A separate traffic accident was investigated in the parking lot of Wawa.

Water Rescue

Officers conducted a welfare check at the wing dam on the Delaware River for a reported kayaker in distress. The call was determined to be unfounded; the kayaker was not in distress.

Alarm Call

A noise complaint was reported in the area of South Main Street and West Ferry Street.
