County officials have issued an Excessive Heat Warning from Monday through Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning and is urging caution as dangerous conditions heat up.
For those seeking refuge from the oppressive heat, several cooling centers will be open across the area.
The City of Lambertville be opening a cooling center at the Lambertville Justice Center at 25 South Union Street Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

It’s a good idea to check your local municipality’s social media and website for any unlisted cooling centers that might be more convenient for you.
The county’s warning comes as the National Weather Service forecasts daytime temperatures reaching 95 degrees or higher by 11 a.m. for two or more consecutive days, or when heat indexes are expected to hit 100 degrees on any given day.
