The region has the chance for multiple snow events this week.

The National Weather Service warned on Sunday of possible snow squalls throughout the morning and afternoon. Any accumulations would be of less than half an inch.

Squalls are known for their rapid onset and could lead to rapidly deteriorating conditions. Forecasters cautioned that these brief but intense bursts of heavy snowfall could result in treacherous road conditions, advising driver to avoid travel during the squalls.

The squalls would come as an Arctic cold front is expected to sweep through the area, bringing with it winds that could reach speeds of up to 50 mph.

The region, which has experienced a notable lack of snowfall in recent winters, is also preparing for a more significant snow event from Monday night into Tuesday. Current predictions estimate 1 to 3 inches of snow.
