Another car stolen in New Hope

Type of car stolen (Source: NHPD)

News Hope police say another car has been stolen from a residential driveway in the borough over the weekend.

A 2008 Toyota Highlander was taken from the driveway at 300 Riverwoods Drive. The theft occurred between 11 p.m. on July 14 and 5:30 a.m. on July 15.

Police say the black Toyota Highlander bears the Pennsylvania registration number HBS7924, and has a front bumper that is painted flat black, and one headlamp is yellowed.

A blue 2017 Nissan Rogue was stolen from a driveway at 80 N. Main St. during approximately the same hours last weekend.

New Hope police say that keys had been left in both vehicles. In fact, police say they’ve had several stolen vehicles reported over the past week that “have been left unlocked and had a spare set of keys in the vehicle.”

New Hope police ask that anyone who may have observed anything suspicious, or knows the whereabouts of the vehicle or identity those involved, please contact them immediately at (215) 862-3033.

  • My car was stolen last Friday (13) night from my carport on North Main St, New Hope. The keys were not in it. I have OnSatr & they found it in 20 minutes in Trenton & remotely shut it down. I got it back Saturday afternoon but not before LukOil charged me 500$ to tow it back from Trenton. I could have driven to Trenton and brought it home for nothing. New Hopebpolice said it was standard procedure for them to have it towed back. Indignity upon indignity.
