Bucks County Playhouse will welcome Miss Pumpkin in celebrating her 25 years in drag on Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m.

The Playhouse salute follows Miss Pumpkin and friends as they relive her over-the-top, generous journey through a Mardi Gras Style drag show filled with laughter, beads, glitter and gold.

Over the past 25 years, Miss Pumpkin has devoted much of her time to raising money and toasting crowds on stage to benefit various charities.

“Miss Pumpkin (aka Michael Gardner) made her debut in New Hope 25 years ago at a place called the Cartwheel in a wig borrowed from Monica Rey,” she said.

“It looked like so much fun at the time…and it still is!” added Pumpkin. “There isn’t a charity event I haven’t hosted, supported or attended. If I can put on a costume and sell a few tickets or raise a few dollars to help someone, I will.

“Now it’s 25 years later, and a lot of No Nonsense panty hose under the bridge. We’re celebrating that I can still stand!  Thank you all so very much!” continued the well-known and popular local diva.

Tickets start at $15 in advance, $25 at the door, and $50 for cabaret table experience. Tickets can be ordered online, except call (215) 862-2121 for the cabaret deal.
