The New Hope Police Department announced today that at approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday a hit-and-run vehicle accident occurred on South Sugan Road. The vehicle in question was traveling on South Sugan Road toward West Bridge Street when the impact occurred, say police, causing extensive property damage.
“The striking vehicle left the scene of the accident after impact,” said the New Hope Police Department statement. “The striking vehicle is believed to be a 2007-2013 Jeep Wrangler, and it is also believed to be a local vehicle.”
“The striking vehicle would have the following damage: missing passenger side view mirror, moderate damage to the passenger side of the vehicle, right fender flare and right rear bumper damage. Parts obtained at the scene helped officers identify the make and model of the vehicle,” continued the police statement.
New Hope police ask that “anyone with any information regarding this vehicle contact the New Hope Police Department at (215) 862-3033.”
