The Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber of Commerce (GLNHCC) on Thursday emailed an application for membership ($275 per year) and cover letter to approximately 100 former New Hope Chamber of Commerce members as part of their strategy to garner greater New Hope business participation and support.

GLNHCC invited those receiving the letter and non-members to attend the group’s annual membership meeting 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Phillip L. Pittore Justice Center in Lambertville. A given business must have paid dues prior to the meeting in order to vote there, according to the letter.

The board of directors of the Lamberville Area Chamber of Commerce voted Jan. 15 to rename and re-brand the organization under the “Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber of Commerce” banner. The group announced three days later that New Hope’s Triumph Brewing Company and the Landing Restaurant had joined their board.

The full text of GLNHCC letter follows:

Dear New Hope Business Owner,

Enclosed, please find an application for membership with the Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber of Commerce.

As you know, the Lambertville Area Chamber of Commerce recently changed its name to the Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber of Commerce. This move was made possible because of the increasing membership in the Chamber by New Hope business owners. We all recognize that even while we live and work in separate towns in separate states, we are one business community. Our goal is to create a cohesive, regional vision for prosperity that promotes our community with one strong voice.

Here is just a sampling of what membership in the Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber of Commerce can mean for you and your business:

Membership in an active, expanding, and professionally run Chamber with a singular vision for prosperity on both sides of the Delaware River.

  • Opportunities to network with fellow business owners at meet-and-greet events, luncheons with featured speakers, and at regular Chamber membership meetings.
  • First-choice inclusion in Chamber-sponsored and supported events, including ShadFest, Food Fair, Restaurant Week, Wine & Design, gallery tours, and more.
  • Advertising for your business on the Chamber’s website and social media, in brochures distributed throughout the region, and more.

As part of our new fully inclusive vision, we already have begun adding New Hope businesses to our Board of Directors, ensuring that both communities have strong voices on the Chamber’s governing body, with more to be named in the coming days.

At this time, we are inviting you to join the Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber as renewing members, at the current flat rate of $275 annually. After this initial offering, new members will be subject to our new, tiered membership rates, which is based on the number of full-time employees.

We also extend an invitation to you to attend the Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting, being held 8:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, at the Phillip L. Pittore Justice Center, 25 South Union Street in Lambertville.  In addition to general Chamber business, we will take time to share in greater detail our main objectives for 2015. While membership in the Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber of Commerce is not required to attend, any businesses which pay dues in advance of the meeting will be able to cast a vote during regular business.

We hope you will take this opportunity to meet your fellow business owners, and get to know the Greater Lambertville-New Hope Chamber of Commerce. With your partnership and membership, we can ensure that we live up to our motto, “Creating prosperity together.”

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at the Chamber office with any questions. We look forward to meeting you on January 31!

Sincerely,

Wilson Weed                                                               David Morgan
