Phillips’ Mill Players present musical tribute to Rodgers and Hart

Rodgers and HartIn four scheduled performances in November, the Phillips’ Mill Players are presenting a musical tribute to the songwriting team of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Under the direction of musician, arranger, and singer Fred Miller, the show will capture a wide range of Rodgers & Hart’s all-time favorites.

Among the most prolific songwriting team in American musical history, songs in the series include Mountain Greenery, Where or When, Blue Moon, My Heart Stood Still, Johnny One Note, Falling in Love with Love, Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, and My Funny Valentine.

Narrated by Fred Miller, the cast includes ten local singers: Andrea Kenyon, Arthur Mattei, Cecily Laidman, Dave Keller, Lily Stephano, Lori Hynson, Lynell Antonelli, Mark Cowell, Tim Philpot, and Valerie Eastburn.

Performances will be held at the Phillips’ Mill Community Association, a restored mill just north of New Hope at 2619 River Road over two weekends on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m; Friday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 23, at 8 p.m.
