Caravan of Thieves will bring their own brand of Halloween Masquerade to New Hope Winery on Oct. 31 built around music from the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Caravan of Thieves has been mixing gypsy swing, pop, folk and theatrics in their shows and recordings for over five years now.

The Winery says they’re “Gypsy Swinging Serenading Firebreathing Circus Freaks who’ve roamed the North American continent recruiting a family of avid thrill seekers at their high energy shows. Driving gypsy jazz rhythms, acoustic guitars, upright bass and violin lay the foundation for mesmerizing vocal harmonies and fantastic stories. Its theatrical and humorous.”

Following their tradition of creating a specially-themed Halloween event, the Oct. 31 gig will cover the Beatles and their Sgt. Pepper’s album. Caravan of Thieves says they will add their own signature blend of acoustic styles, colorful harmony, swing rhythms, and oddball junk percussion, playing the iconic album front to back with tremendous respect to the Fab Four’s brilliant compositions. For good measure, they’ll finish out the show they say with a set of their original songs.

Freaky attire is welcome.

Thursday, Oct. 31. Doors open at 7 p.m., showtime 8 p.m.

New Hope Winery is located at 6123 Lower York Road; (215) 794-2331.
