14th Annual FACT New Hope/Lambertville AIDS Walk this Sunday

2013-fact-aids-walkThe 14th Annual New Hope/Lambertville AIDS Walk sponsored by FACT Bucks County will kick off with registration at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6.

This year’s event will again begin and end at the New Hope-Solebury High School on West Bridge Street in New Hope. From the school, walkers will proceed on Bridge Street to the New Hope-Lambertville Free Bridge, cross the Delaware River into Lambertville, and then continue on the towpath north to Stockton, crossing back into Centre Bridge, PA and back to the high school.

Friends, families, kids, parents, couples, singles—over 500 Walkers–from each and every part of our community have raised more than $610,000 to date, say organizers.

Proceeds raised during the scenic 10K canal walk will help individuals in Bucks, Hunterdon, and Mercer counties, providing essential funding for people with nowhere else to turn for help in paying for medications, utility bills, rent or mortgage payments, transportation, funeral expenses and other basic personal needs.

“Walk with us. You’ll be amazed at what we can accomplish in just one morning,” say organizers.

Register here, or call (215) 862-3325. And hats off to Louis Licitra for helping put together this truly worthy event.
