Annual ‘Naked in New Hope’ show opens Sept. 15

“Reclining” by Alex Cohen

The sixth annual Naked in New Hope art exhibit will be opening on Sept. 15, with gala receptions scheduled for that evening and the following night.

Naked in New Hope is the acclaimed yearly art show presented by Sidetracks Art Gallery, 2A Stockton Ave., that focuses on figurative art rendered on canvas or in steel, wood, stone, photography or other mediums. This year, additional exhibit space has been arranged at New Hope Arts, 2 Stockton Ave., and the New Hope Lodge, 400 W. Bridge St., to accommodate work from 92 local and national artists.

As in previous years, the portion of Stockton Avenue in front of Sidetracks Gallery will be closed to traffic from 6 – 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15 to provide space for outdoor refreshments and conversation, and there will be additional exhibit space next door on the first floor of the New Hope Arts center.

And in cooperation with The Raven, a third venue at New Hope Lodge, 400 West Bridge Street, will host Naked in New Hope artwork and a second opening reception on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 9 p.m.

No shirt, no shoes, no clothes — no problem.
