amily Stages brings the fantastic story of Puss in Boots to the Newtown Theater stage for a single performance on Tuesday, July 25 at 11:00 AM. The adventure of the stylish, magical cat has been thrilling children for nearly 500 years. Family Stages captures the richness of the classic folktale with a contemporary energy designed to delight audiences of all ages. The story begins when the poor miller gives his son the family cat and sends him off to make his way in the world. To the lad’s great surprise the cat is enchanted. The fashion-forward feline dons fine clothes, including fabulous footwear, and becomes Puss in Boots. She then helps her new master rid the land of a grumpy ogre and win the heart of a princess by recovering her stolen crown! Two actors play all the characters in this fun-filled, one hour production.
