An evening of poetry readings w/ Alina Gregorian, Chris Hosea, Becca Klaver and Douglas Piccinnini at Farley’s Bookshop in New Hope, PA. FREE and open to the public. 

ALINA GREGORIAN is an Armenian American writer, artist, and curator living in Brooklyn, NY. She is the author of the poetry chapbook Navigational Clouds (Monk Books, 2015), and recently finished a project where she created a GIF for each letter of the Armenian alphabet. Since 2012, she has curated Triptych Readings, which has hosted events at spaces like envoy enterprises, Fig. 19, Body Actualized Center, Babycastles, and its current home, Parsons School of Design. She curates a video poetry series on The Huffington Post and from 2011-2016, she taught writing at Rutgers University. Find her online here: alinagregorian.com

CHRIS HOSEA is the author of two books of poetry. His first, Put Your Hands In (LSU Press, 2014), was chosen by John Ashbery for the 2013 Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets. His second collection, Double Zero, was published by Prelude Books in 2016. Recently, his poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, Boston Review, Brooklyn Rail, Denver Quarterly, Pittsburgh Review, Prelude, VOLT, White Wall Review, and elsewhere. He has been awarded residencies by the OMI International Arts Center, the Studios at Mass MoCA, and the Vermont Studio Center. A full-gallery show of Hosea’s artwork with collaborator Kim Bennett was staged at the Brooklyn gallery Transmitter in July and August of 2015. A graduate of Harvard College and the UMass Amherst MFA in Poetry, Hosea lives in Brooklyn and works as an advertising copywriter.

BECCA KLAVER is the author of the poetry collections Empire Wasted (Bloof Books, 2016) and LA Liminal (Kore Press, 2010) as well as several chapbooks. She was a founding editor of the feminist press Switchback Books and is coeditor of the multimedia poetry anthology Electric Gurlesque (Saturnalia Books, 2017). She attended the University of Southern California (BA), Columbia College Chicago (MFA), and Rutgers University (PhD), and in the spring of 2017 will be the Arts & Sciences Distinguished Visiting Writer at Bowling Green State University. She lives in Brooklyn, where she cohosts The Real Housewives of Bohemia podcast.

DOUGLAS PICCINNINI is the author of a book of poems, Blood Oboe (Omnidawn, 2015) and of Story Book: a novella (The Cultural Society, 2015). Some of his recent work has been featured by The Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-day, Aufgabe, Lana Turner, The Poetry Project Newsletter, Prelude, Seattle Review, Tupelo Quarterly, Verse and The Volta. In February of 2017, he will spend a week as writer-in-residence at Sundress Academy for the Arts in Knoxville, TN.
