ONE DAY PLEIN AIR PAINT OUT

Bucks County Audubon Society announces a One Day Plein Air Paint Out on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Honey Hollow Watershed, a national historic landmark established in 1969. Registration is open for artists interested in participating in the Paint Out, held in conjunction with the Trinity House Tour where the Bucks County Audubon Society’s visitor center, a circa 1930’s historic barn is a featured stop on the tour.

Artists paint from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the property with amazing views of farms, fields, meadows and forest. Registration is open until October 3 and limited to 20 artists. There is no registration fee and artists are invited to sell art from their easels with a portion of sales being contributed to Bucks County Audubon Society’s mission to educate people of all ages about the natural world, including the protection of birds and other wildlife and their habitats. Interested artists can register via email to: registerme@BCAS.org and provide your name, contact information, website address.  Artists will check in and have canvases stamped on the morning of October 18 between 8:00am and 9:00am.

Bucks County Audubon Society has worked in partnership with many artists in the area. “Since adding artists to the signature Art of the Barn Tour that takes place annually in July around Bucks County, we have connected with some very talented artists who share their gifts with not only the community, but give back to keep alive the natural beauty and gorgeous vistas of Honey Hollow Watershed in Solebury.” stated Mary Penney, Managing Director of Bucks County Audubon Society. This event is a great chance for us to host an open house where artists can create exciting new work and also welcome tour visitors on the Trinity Church Autumn House Tour to our trails and preserved property.”
