Getting big money out of politics. Medicare for all. A higher minimum wage. Increasing pay for public school teachers. Getting big money out of politics. College for all. Supporting local farmers. The right to a healthy environment. Racial and gender equality. Respect for immigrants. A less interventionist foreign policy.

The first democratic debate showed many of these ideas espoused by Bernie Sanders during the 2016 primary seem to be making their way into the 2019 platform of the Democratic Party. In a field of 20 candidates vying for the party’s nomination, only one candidate offers an inclusive vision of the future where all Americans are guaranteed true freedom through a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights

You are invited to join residents of New Hope and the surrounding township of Solebury on Wednesday, July 10th 2019 from 4:30pm-5:30pm to learn more about Bernie Sanders and begin organizing a local campaign to send him to the White House in 2020.

The event will be an informal gathering with time for personal introductions, policy discussions, and planning future outreach initiatives. Reservations for this event are required through either meetup or eventbrite in order for a proper venue to be selected. If participation is 15 people or less, we will meet at the Free Library of New Hope. It is recommended that anyone planning to attend regularly check the event listings for important updates and new event announcements.

For those who missed the news, Bernie Sanders recently released an ambitious plan to pass a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights that builds on the vision of FDR’s successful New Deal and proposed Second Bill of Rights by guaranteeing Americans the right to a decent job that pays a living wage, the right to quality health care, the right to a complete education, the right to affordable housing, the right to a clean environment, and the right to a secure retirement.

Everyone has a role to play in making this a reality since real change only happens when an unprecedented number of people get involved in the political process. RSVP now on meetup or eventbrite to join us on Wednesday, July 10th at 4:30pm in New Hope. Together, anything is possible.
